find myself in a situation where it makes sense and is in fact absolutely necessary to say "frankly my dear, I don't give a damn"

...I used this yesterday, but not sure it was entirely necessary, hah :D so i’m not going to cross it off just yet :P

A situation presented itself perfectly, but I took the high road and chose not to use this wonderful expression.

Here’s the dealio:

A woman in the supermarket parking lot walked passed my car (with Obama bumper stickers still attached and Obama flag flying) and shouting something of the nature “F###ity F### F### ... Obama … Socialism …. G## Damn … yada yada yada” I laughed so hard I thought I was going to wet my pants.

I hit the produce aisle and who do I see. Yup, her. Wearing her McCain/Palin button still. We made direct eye contact and I raised my hand with the peace sign. I thought she was going to fall over and die right there. I then said “Peace Of The Lord Be Always With You.”

Somehow I think my reaction to her hate speech ruined her day more than if I responded in kind.

Haha, this sounds like something that’d be some fun. But I’d rather do it if it’s pretty necessary and makes sense. I mean, it gets really annoying when somebody says something over and over, and even more so when it doesn’t makes sense. But I WILL do it.

I’ve done this a few times now.

Really not as fulfilling as you’d imagine.

I’m sure I’ve done this in more situations than I should have, so no more not giving a damn. At least, I’m going to try not to.

I should be able to do this in the next year…that’s my goal.
