I WANT TO BE ABLE TO PAY ONE PAYMENT ONLY INSTEAD OF A LOT OF PAYMENTS
EVERY MONTHJust when I thought I’d never accomplish this goal, I realized a good option for me was to refinance my house as it as appreciated pretty well in last 6 years. I think, for me, it was the smartest thing I could do for myself. I feel so free now!
It really just makes me want to punch myself in the face that this isn’t done already. I have roughly 1100 in debt, it should have taken roughly 6 weeks to pay off. I just cannot seem to keep track of my money. sad
HOWEVER! I won’t allow myself to check this off until later in May, when I pay of the (small) new charges incurred on my vacation. :) That will feel good.
I will pay off that rolling nightmarish balance on April 20, as planned. However, I put a plane ticket and some summer clothes on the one card (previously 0-balance) that I plan to keep (because Frequent Flyer miles are like lifeblood to me). No problem. It will be promptly paid upon my return. Man, it feels so good to be so close to checking this off and having a vacation after all that hard work. So good.
I have been very diligent and working like mad… but now I’m cruising to check this mo-fo off on April 20. And that would be a joyful feeling indeed, especially since a week later, it’s possible that I’ll find myself wandering aimlessly, happily, around in (see goal #8). Bring it on.
working on the last card (from 5-d’oh!) and will try to make this happen by May 31.

but within a year, with a little help from my debt consolidation friends, all of the credit cards are gone but two. We’re talking 10+ when we started mind you, and all of the cards are paid off! Some of what I learned? In order to rebuild credit, you really need to have:
—at least one mortgage on your credit report
—two rotating credit accounts
—and at least one installment account (like a car payment)
Managing this amount well is really the best way to build that credit score…and the Kline family is on its way!
