for now. The laptop they’ve been on isn’t very good anymore and that’s why I wanted to back them up. I’m going to transfer them and my music to the newer laptop tonight instead.

I’ve had this on my mind for quite a while now, worried that something will happen to my photos. I’m sure my dad has some CD’s I could use.

Piece of mind. Our computer is getting old and many of these have not been printed.
It took five CDs in the end...

...but it’s done. I was very efficient and did this in about half an hour today – it’s a relief to know now that if my computer is ever lost/stolen etc I won’t lose all my pictures too.
DVDs are more stable

If your computer allows, try using DVDs for data storage. They hold more and are supposed to be better technology.
