...on a big rock next to the creek across the street from where I lived. It was peaceful. I learned many years later that I was sitting within a hundred feet or less of the site where my great-grandfather (great-great maybe?) had built and operated a mill. Interesting coincidence.
lob loving the holiday season...
a beautiful stream that runs through our yard,in the forest. A peaceful place to sit and listen to nature.
For a while I wanted to have a home with a stream nearby. Since the climate has changed through global warming I know that living near a stream could mean being flooded without warning. I love sitting by a stream and watching the insects and water life, photographing whatever I can, especially dragon flies and damsel flies. There is a sort of poetry about gentle running water, but to experience and enjoy it I must seek a beautiful stream somewhere close and tame it.
