i don’t have to be decission maker DM,
to make peace but the couchsurfing.com helped me to know
more people from different places so i work on imporving our image, and i have a romanian friend who is learning arabic,
so we thought to make book booth there at book fair containing arabic books to help people to understand us, as the language is the bridge between cultures.

but I need to move this goal off my list for now. I will continue to do what I can, but this is really NOT under my control.

which I’d not seen before, but Almog replied to one of Taly’s posts, and I subscribe to Almog…
(don’t you love the way things work here on 43Things?)
anyway…
I felt a little catch in my heart when I saw this on Taly’s list. I want so badly for there to be peace in the Middle East. I want the suffering on all sides to be replaced with peace and prosperity. There are so many good people there, and they are hurting.
I lived for a year in Jerusalem, 2002-3, and I’ll never forget that year. It knocked a lot of naivete out of me, and I learned a lot, but mainly what I learned was that nothing is simple, nothing is easy. There are too many people who have made money or built public personas on this conflict, that I do know.
I pray for peace, and I work for it. I teach it. Every now and then I hear something hopeful, and I’m glad. So I’m adding this to my list, and Taly, I’m sorry I didn’t see it sooner!
