How I did it: The local weather stations usually give us a heads up when a meteor show is about to take place. They broadcast the best times to watch the shower. The beach provides a birds-eye view, so I grab a blanket, hop in the car when the stars are falling out of the sky, and there you go! Read how I did it…

My parents took me to the desert when I was little to watch the “shooting stars.” They brought a thermos of hot chocolate and we all sat on the roof of the car to watch. It was a memorable experience I want to share with my daughter.

I want to not just watch a meteor shower, but watch them whenever possible.
