build a JavaScript library

The unit tests are happening…

... suddenly a lot is going on. My girlfriend is managing the project and writing the actual code, and I’ve been working on the specification and functionality.

I wrote about 12k of code in the last couple of days, which isn’t bad going really but I don’t think I’m going to make the goal. I should think by the end of the day I’ll have everything in the library that it needs (little bits and pieces aside), but none of the new stuff works in ie yet, and there’s lots that needs commenting. Well, I’ve still got a day so I’ll see how I do…

These last three days I’ve added a couple of major things that were missing, and quite a lot of little bits and pieces. It’s still going to be pretty tough to get it finished in time though.

Things went really well yesterday and the day before – I wrote an Ajax extension and did a reasonable bit of work on other bits and bobs. But today hasn’t been at all great so far – I can’t have any more days of faffing around like this else there’s no way I’m going to finish to meet my goal.

I’m going to work really really hard at it over these next few months. I hope to get more or less everything in it that I want to put in it by the end of February. It’s not going to be easy as I’m also feeling like there’s suddenly a lot else to do, but it’s definitely doable.

I did some work on it for the first time in a while. It was excellent to get back to it again!

It’s going quite well. I’ve not done any coding for it myself, but I think the person who is (Xenny), is doing really, really well.

I’ve not actually written any myself, but I’ve been giving some help and advice to the person who is writing it, and it seems to be going really well.

Ugh. Today was a bad bad day. I don’t even wanna talk about it :(
