Lay under the stars

My friend came over and celebrated new years at my house. When it was time for him to nearly leave we went outside and laid down on my front lawn. It’s such a clear night tonight, so it was really peaceful just to stare out into space.
It was a great way to start 2009.

I could be doing this tonight..

Stars are pretty, I think I’ll really enjoy completing this goal.

Okay, so I have done this before when I lived in Tennessee. But it has been a long time since then. I miss the stars! I will do this when I get to North Carolina.

i’ll be doing this soon. gonna go lay out in the field at the farm :) can’t wait! used to do it all the time as a kid, but most places i have lived have too many lights, or it wasn’t safe to be out laying in a field alone in the middle of the night. it’s just so peaceful, and my mind can just go. i love it :)

It was cold on our last evening at Camarines Sur.
So cold, it was fogging up in the Governor’s Palace’s back yard.

Sara and I got the chance to lay out on a comforter with wine and chocolates.
We sipped and snacked and blew out the candles and watched the stars just brighten as our eyes adjusted to the darkness of the night.

The view was breath taking, romantic, inspiring and just beautiful in all its simplicity….

Sara being there and knowing I was there for her, just made it all even more worth it. :)

In Nov. 2005 in about 55 degree weather, they were the last thing I saw before going to sleep. The 9 hours were the last time I truly got a great night’s sleep.

My boyfriend and I packed a picnic and went to our local beach lookout. It was a wonderful night under the stars!

Try North Cascades, in a little cabin in a wood clearing! I can still smell the freash pine…

It wasn’t under the stars but I spent at least 15 minutes watching the sunset. It made me feel real good. Maybe I’m more patient now. Patient enough to lay under the stars! I hope I can accomplish this asap, with some good company preferentially.
