Both benches in the park are covered in wishes for Kurt. It’s beautiful and immediately took me back to where I was when he passed.
Highly reccemend, although it does make one wish there was an actual grave site for him.

Just some info for anyone else who wants to get to Viretta Park…
From Denny Way (downtown Seattle): Take the #8 bus, eastbound, up over Capitol Hill and down to Martin Luther King Boulevard.
From there, take the eastbound #2 bus on Union to the junction of Madrona and 38th. Cross over the road and you’ll see the sign for Viretta Park – go down the steps to get the bit with the benches.
As you stand facing down towards the road and out to Lake Washington, Kurt’s old house is on your left.
It’s very peaceful there, especially first thing on a spring morning…
