I’m reading the Jazz Scene and today I read only REALLY half an hour, but it’s all good! I hope to keep this up everyday!
How to spend at least half an hour every day reading a book
How I did it: I've always been a good, yet not a constant, reader. Not much effort was needed, actually, because it wasn't a new ability, but a common activity that wasn't quit part of my daily routine yet. Now it is. Good.

I love to read. Taking time to read each day really calms the mind. Besides being fun, it helps you with both your written and verbal communication skills. I’m not going to lie, sometimes I actually like reading aloud to myself.
Reading is where i gain my enlightenment always…reading and music…problem is i often go through phases of reading non stop..and then not reading a complete book for up to 6months…this is no longer on…i shall start by making sure im reading a book at all times…we all complain of unwanted feelings…yet we fail to occupy our thoughts of what we desire..relaxation or exercise..usually works on these two activities..being stuck in the middle (boredom) is a no-no..im rarely bored…but reading i shall do more…ill start with david copperfield…
If the book is study book!!
my mom wants me to spend at least 3 hours everyday pratising the lessons. I’ve ever try but if I don’t understand the lessons I don’t know what I should do next so I always close the book and play computer everytime I try to do it.
This is not for people who don’t like to read. It’s a great goal to be sure, but if you hate reading, it’ll be near to impossible to read a half hour every day.
I love to read. I’ve been reading since I was 2 years old…of course then it was mostly just letters…when I was 3 I broke into words on street signs and the like…by the time I was 6 I started into chapter books, Bunnicula was my favorite. I was an oddball, during recess I would opt to sit on the wall and read rather than go play with my classmates…
I’ve been an avid reader since. I read during my open periods (called mods at my school), I would read during passing period, I would read during down time in class, I would read when I got home and well into the night until I forced myself to stop and get some sleep.
My favorite author, is a man named Terry Goodkind. He writes a series called The Sword of Truth. If you like books about magic and swords and dragons and the like, I highly recommend this series. It’s currently 9 books long (plus one very short prequel). He’s still writing, there are two more books in the works.
Terry’s books are unusually long. Aside from the prequel that is only 160 pages long, his shortest book is just over 600 pages. His longest, so far, is 979 pages.
As one who loves to read, these books are right up my alley. I can (and have) spent over 20 hours in a row reading. I can read that 979 page book in just one day when I do that. I once read four of his books in four days.
Basically, if you love to read, this goal is more than possible. I recommend it, not enough people read anymore today. There are so many wonderful books and authors out there that get too little recognition simply because people prefer to spend their days watching tv or on the net, which are fun things that I do myself, but they can’t replace reading.
Everyone should spend 30 minutes each day doing something they love. I love reading, so no matter how stressed out I am or how bad my day has been or if I’m feeling great, I spend the last 30 minutes of my day reading a book. It makes me happy and I sleep great!
