I’ve got a good (if a little made-up-as-I-go-along) grasp of AS2, and am finding it hard to make the move to AS3.
About to re-do my own site, so I guess this is the perfect time to do it…
I agree with Schaap, ‘Learning ActionScript 3.0: A Beginner’s Guide’ is more accessible than ‘Essential ActionScript 3.0’. Although I hope to be using Colin Mook’s book soon enough!

Yep, I also need to learn AS 3. Have done some tutorials already (with intermediate understanding of v2) and found out AS 3 is much easier! At least, some things, like XML.

I really want to learn AS3, but where do I begin? I started reading Colin Moock’s ‘Essential Actionscript 3.0’, but after the first chapter, I was completely puzzeled. So now I’m looking for a book that doesn’t overwhelm me with 143421 new things in the first chapter… I’ll keep you posted!
