This fall has been terrible for hiking in general, not just because of the fires, but also because the local clubs have not been having events to go too. I have to wait till December right now for the next hike….Too long!
There are some year-round events that you can do anytime, but I miss hiking with friends.

On vacation, I had a chance to do a few long hikes to some of the most beautiful and remote places in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
1. Hiked the Crabtree trail to Piute Lake in the Emigrant Wilderness.
2. Hiked up to the Panum crater in Mono Lake State Preserve.
3. Hiked up Pothole Dome in Yosemite National Park.
4. Hiked up to Kearsarge Pass in the John Muir Wilderness.
We did lots of shorter hikes, but those were the most memorable.

hiking is not a goal to me, it is a passion. When I need to relax, or focus, or de-stress, I always go for a hike. For my vacation, we are planning on hiking about 70 miles over 10 days and I will love every panting step I take.
I don’t really plan on completing this goal until I die, but I will update with some of the hikes I love the most here.

i got burnt by the sun, didn’t have enough water so i ate snow. it was a 7 hour hike so we were soooooo tired. but it was all worth it when i reached the top. i listened to the song i miss u by blink 182. it is definitely worth it. u neeeeeed to go hiking because it reminds of who u really are. and it makes u appreciate life more. be well-prepared though, and go in groups. it was fun because i was with my friends.
