There's A Pony in This Pile of Crap — 2 years ago
A month ago I was on the lake in my recently restored flat bottom boat. Today I struggle to write or answer the phone because I was injured at work and have the honor and privilege of getting to know a whole new group of humans at Worker’s Comp, doctor’s offices, rehab facilities and soon an operating room of a hospital. Perhaps it is time to be grateful for what has been given to me through no effort of my own except to admit my helplessness. As a close friend says, “Sometimes you just gotta stand there and bleed.” I believe there’s a pony in this pile of crap because I created it that way.
