I did it. I scored “good.” For a guy who’s never enjoyed running, and never run much, I think that’s pretty good.
If I’m going to get better at it, though, I’ll have to start running regularly… something I’m not sure I’d enjoy.
Anyway, at least this test implies that I’m in decent shape. Better than most, but not good as I could be. Something to work towards…

and I always failed. I used to have to do this for gym class. I hated it so much because I knew I could not do it in 12 minutes. I would constantly repeat to myself I can’t do it during the test because the gym teachers excepted me to be able to do it. (That bothered me to say the least…)
When I was much younger, maybe 12, I surmised that I was at risk for cardiovascular disease. I didn’t need a test to tell me I wasn’t in-shape.
During this fitness test, I used to feel a sharp pain which felt like my sternum was going to crack and my lungs would be pulled apart. It was a lovely feeling. I had to experience this many times.
Conclusion: I’m in poor physical fitness but you can’t really tell by looking at me and I didn’t need a test to tell me this.
Fine Print Below
Target Group: This test is suitable for endurance athletes and players of endurance sports (e.g. football, rugby) but not for individuals where the test would be contraindicated.
Reliability: Reliability would depend upon how strict the test is conducted and the individual’s level of motivation to perform the test.

I’ve always been fairly athletic, but never exceled at cardio-endurance stuff. Now I’m just plain out of shape.
Here’s a start to the “get back in shape” thing. See where I sit on this thing.
