How I did it: My mum recommended that I would teach lessons at an English school nearby. At first I thought it wouldn't work out, since I'm 18 (and the students are usually like 40-50 years old), but then, I scheduled an interview, and things went well! I started training and then moved on to real teaching in a very short period!
Anyways, it was easey for me.
Lessons & tips: You you can speak English very well as a second language in a country whose language is not English, consider teaching it.

i start work in a week and a bit.. which is ages away + therefore i will make no money before xmas + then it will be new years so i wont work for a while

i get a call saying i’ve got an interview with a coffee shop, a week later i have the interview. they call me a week later saying i have the job but they’re training someone else currently + so will call me in a week about my training.
This means, it has been a month since they first called me!! + I am still now working and i need money and they said they’d call me today but i wouldn’t be surprised if they called me in another week!!!
arrrgh i need mooneeeeeeeey i just want to start working already!!!

I want a place that wont discriminate against my hair, my piercings, my tattoos. I want a place where I enjoy the people and the atmosphere. Somewhere I can be myself and not feel like Im being critisized by every move I make. I’m guessing I’m going to have to go downtown.. Now I just have to find the motivation to get there every day.

I finally landed a job after 2 years of hunting, waiting, and sulking that i should be a Software Engineer in Silicon Valley. I landed my big break as a Clinic Assistant in Stanford,CA. It feels good to earn money again
