I only have the usual six-month tourist visa, and will want/need a new one come the end of October (yes technically not a renewal). The easiest place to do this will be down the road in Sri Lanka. Amazingly the flight is £200 though (no ferry), and I’d probably want to do some biking or something to keep me occupied whilst waiting. That would knock the cost up to over that of a [return] flight to London. Other options are Dubai, Kathmandu, and Bangkok. There goes my carbon neutrality.
