For Black History Month I decide to read this classic by Harriet Beecher Stowe.
What an amazing book. I’d read reviews and opinions on it before I rented it from the library so I knew the basic outline of the plot, but words can’t really express just HOW good it is. I’m surprised it’s not required reading in schools – in particular in Kentucky! Tommy says they didn’t have to read it.
I highly recommend this, for anyone. I’m going to make my mom read it next.

I went to the coffee shop tonight and I read, and cried when Tom died.
This was an awesome book and I recommend it. It will make you think.

I am up to chapter 38. Almost there. George and Eliza made it to Canada (which was/is English?), but Tom is not doing so well.
So sad for mean people.

I got up to 35 last night. I still have tonight to read before I go back to work for 6 days.
I have no clue when our meeting will be as it seems to keep getting postponed. :(
