I have encountered to many people who thinks all feminists are truly evil people who hates men. I have been told even if I don’t support some of the more radical views of feminism (all men are potential rapists and such) I’m still a bad person because I support something they have gender discrimination as a goal. I heard countless people after uttering some pro-women rights belief “but I’m NOT a feminist” as being a feminist would be a really bad thing and that makes me sad.

Too much of anything can be bad. I think a lot of people have the image of a feminist being a man hating female. It’s perfectly okay to want to stand up for the rights of an individual—if someone stands up for a man, it’s not called masochist, that’s actually a pretty negative term. There’s no equivalent for males, what feminism is to females. Which is mostly because males are already entitled to so many things and expected to do an array of things, and a woman doing the same thing raises a red flag. I’m not some hardcore feminist. I’m actually just becoming feministic.
A feminist isn’t really someone who condemns men but is a woman who knows and has the right to choose her own path, whatever it is she decides to do. There ought not to be some predetermined role for a woman. We shouldn’t even be genderizing children to such a severe degree.
