Organize my craft area.

we put up many cabinets and arranged things in them according to how we use it. re-organized the jewelry cabinet so we can get back into making it again.

My husband and I recently remodeled our study, half of which is my craft area. We installed shelving above our desks to make use of the vertical space and that helps a lot! I bought a whole bunch of matching boxes at Ikea and organized each type of supply into one box. Now finding everything – and knowing what I have at a moment’s notice – is so easy! I also bought a new desk at Ikea that has a large glass top and saw horses for legs. The bottom of the saw horses hold my sewing machine and my current crafts and I can slide my laptop under the glass so the area can go from a craft area to an office with no effort – it’s great! My sister is coming over tonight and she is going to help me re-organize and clean my life. I might actually get to this tonight and that will give me the space I need to scrapbook!! WhohooO!!

I feel like I have a long way to go still but it is better thatn it was!

My craft room has taken on a personality of its own (and quite an attitude might I add) since it was upgraded to “room” when I moved into my new apartment. Before this lucky move I had craft spaces and craft areas but never a designated room. Sure it is craft-slash-spare bedroom but right now there is more craft than bedroom. I need to organize what I am using and shack off older items. I am goalizing this for this weekend coming. I am betting it will get written on 7 “to do” lists before it ever gets realized!

I cleaned out the table that I work off of so basically I could make 40 invitations for someone. It was good incentive to organize the scrapbooking/card making part of my crafts. Well at least some of it. I have a lot more to do!

We moved in this house a year ago and this is one of the last sections that just keeps getting ignored. I need to take care of it because I don’t do things because of the mess down there.
