My mom and dad got divorced this summer and it’s hard for me to get used to having to call twice as much. And I’m just in general closer to my mom, but I need to call my dad too, especially because I think they both need a lot of phone calls right now, and it’s good for me, too.
How to call my dad more often
"well worth it."
How I did it: I actually remembered at least 3 or two times a week to call my dad. Even if it was too late his time to call him, I still remembered. Now I just have to remember when it's early enough over there, all the way in New York.

So far so good. Just called. I really do like to talk to him, but life can get busy and it is easy to forget the important things.
Calling Daddy

I always call my Mom because I’m never sure if Dad is out to lunch, or in a meeting, or even still at work or not… but what’s the harm in calling and being wrong? Especially versus getting to talk to my Dad. I need to opt to dial ‘Nebel’ a little more often rather than ‘Home’!
