It’s shameful that I don’t see more local shows, living in Austin. Went out last month and caught Rhett Miller playing at a local restaurant, didn’t cost me anything (except for the burger I bought). Was a great show! I’m watching more closely now for more bands and artists that I’d like to see. 20 months ago

I didn’t get to ACL, but U2 was awesome. Was also able to attend another minor concert for an indie artist I like earlier this month. I enjoyed both experiences immensely and am very much looking forward to doing more now. Bummed I missed Depeche Mode and The Killers earlier this year, but I’ve got more money now, so hopefully I can make more happen in the future. 2 years ago

Found out Arctic Monkeys are playing Austin City Limits this year, now really want to make that happen. Just gotta decide how many days I want to go. 2 years ago

Okay, got U2 tickets. Need to start seeing some other shows too, but holy crap concerts are expensive. 2 years ago

One thing I did not consider. It’s really, really hard to work up the enthusiasm to go out to a show alone. 2 years ago

Moved to Austin, but I didn’t catch the Coldplay concert, nor the Killers concert in Feb, due to budget and scheduling. But there’s no way in hell I’m missing the upcoming U2 tour. 3 years ago

Well, Coldplay is playing Texas in November. So I guess that’s another reason for me to move down there by October at the latest. We’ll see how that works out. 3 years ago

and half of them have new albums coming out this year. U2, The Killers, Depeche Mode, Coldplay… Plus, one of my parents just moved to Austin and I’m thinking about it myself, so I could totally hit SXSW next year, which half of my favorite indie bands frequent. My uncle keeps telling me I’ve got to go to at least one concert just for the experience, and it probably will happen before too long. 3 years ago

Underoath and Emery playing in Sydney this Friday!!!!!
I don’t think I’d be allowed go (also, I have no one to go with) but I would absolutely love to see these guys – two of the biggest alternative Christian bands playing together – squeals
Well, the Big Exo Day AND Black Stump are happening in September. Exo Day has Switchfoot, Pillar and Playjerise (who are, by the way, from the Blue Mountains – love their stuff). Black Stump has Revive and Antiskeptic playing, among others. Must go to at least one of those events.
Oh man. I SO wanna see Emery and Underoath. Gahhhhhh!!!!!!! 4 years ago

My fav bands are Relient K, Snow Patrol, Jars of Clay, The Fray, Nickelback, etc. I think Snow Patrol came to Australia just a month ago or something. Oops. And I was going to go to a Revive concert tonight (Revive are also very cool) but I can’t be bothered anymore. There’s a million more bands I like, but I can’t think of any particular ones right now. Oh yeah, I also love Falling Up. And Jeremy Camp, but he’s a person, not a band :) 4 years ago
