I liked contacts so much that I splurged on prescription theatrical lenses!

i got awesome new glasses, with beautiful frames selected with the assistance of jenna and david from the eye place. i also wore contacts for the first time this afternoon, although the prescription was not quite right and we’re ordering a new trial pair. but so far so good, and the glasses are a done deal.
Got new contacts right after my husband got vision insurance through work. I was wearing old glasses with bad fitting frames because my last pair of contacts got fried by some bad solution. I feel so much more like myself in contacts. I still could use some new glasses someday since the frames don’t fit very well but my prescription in them is still good and I mostly wear contacts anyway so I can’t justify the expense right now.

The biggest thing that helped me to get this is that my insurance through work, paid for the majority of my glasses; I would only had to pay $30 but I wanted transition lenses, which protects your eyes from the sun once you leave a building and that was an additional $62 more, so all in all, I feel that I came out of that well; I may get one with bifocals next year though; I don’t read with my glasses, but it would be great for driving long distances.

I got a pair just before I went to NYC; real cool; so this is a done deal.
i should really go get some new glasses. and my frames are falling apart anyway! plus, i want to try contacts for the first time in 12 years of wearing glasses, mostly because it’s starting to rain a lot here, and glasses get all spotty. it’s the bane of my winter existence.

Well, it’s like this; my 90 day probation passed through, and I signed up for vision and dental; when the doctor last saw me in January, he told me I needed bifocals and to get these certain glasses that I didn’t have to take off like Fred Sanford; anyhow, I am ready to do this. It only costs like $2-4 per check and it pays for glasses and exams. or at least 80% of it and hey, I can deal with that. shoot
I finally got new glasses and contacts! I recently forgot my glasses at my job site (which is two hours away from my house!) so I had to wear my old contacts for the weekend. That forced me to set up an appointment! So it is completed (with a little pushing)
I just need to set up the doctor’s appointment. But now with this new job I have a new visionary plan that my old optomerist is no longer a part of. So I’m trying to find a new one. Oh the procrastion! Wish me luck:-)
new contacts in a week or so! Same old same old, my eyes are worse, but slowing down with the worse-erness. I’m developing astigmatism, same as dad. She gave me a prescription which should be easier to see in the dark with, and WOW! Its amazing what you don’t know you can’t see until you see it!
