Aspen was everything I thought it would be. And more. The weather was perfect (cloudy at first, sunny in the afternoon), the snow crisp and the locals welcoming. So welcoming I let them talk me into going down a double black slope -with moguls! I haven’t skied in five years so that was actually more than I could handle but I did it anyway, just to show them. Afterwards, I was absolutely knackered and it felt like my knees were on fire. But the rush I got made it all worth while. Where has your aspen?

I booked my ticket yesterday! I am leaving Eastermonday for two fun filled weeks with snow, skiing, mountains and good friends.
My cup runneth over.
My friends from Denver who were supposed to come to Europe for Christmas can’t make it so they invited me to go see them! We haven’t worked any details but I will probably go in March when they have the best snow.
Did I mention I am excited?
This has been on my list for a while, although I would have replace the skis with a board. :)
I went to Snowmass this year (I live very close to it). I’ve lived in Colorado since I was two, and never downhill skiied. I HIGHLY recommend getting a lesson. Even though I had one, I still ended up with a concussion!
Good times, good times!
Try ski blades if you haven’t before. They’re fun. And try the new “Highest Lift in America” at Breckenridge. The peak is grand!
