sierrak About to embark on a "painting" spree
Had an extra bicycle helmet, freecycled it to a single mom for her son.
Picked up July 7, 2009.
How I did it: I just kept looking more critically at the things I'd acquired over time. If the item didn't serve my purposes anymore, I'd put it on the Freecycle list. I was amazed to see how many of these items that could have ended up in landfill really brightened someone else's life!

Had an older laser printer, about ten years old, in the basement. Glad to have found a new home for it!

Sarah is relaxing
Offered because they are so high I can’t walk in them!
I decided to do one extra Freecycle donation for good luck! I put together a collection of body soaps and lotions I didn’t need, along with a sample of Coco Chanel perfume I got at Macy’s.
It turned out a lot of people wanted this Freecycle item—but I ended up selecting a nurse who donates these items to a local homeless shelter. However, I made her promise to keep the Coco Chanel for herself!
I just offered 2 large black ceramic lamp bases. These were leftover Florida casualties that needed rewiring. However, someone was glad to get them! :-)
I just put up some more Freecycle posts. This one was for my very first laser printer, an old Lexmark compact model. Wow, did I sure love that printer! However, it’s time to let go—I have a great color one now and someone could use this black and white model I’m sure.

We are cleaning out the attic, so I am going to have a lot of things to Freecycle. Today my DH finished taking everything out, so now we are culling, tossing, and re-organizing.
He found the cassette tape player component of a stereo that I had in the early 1980s, it’s a mystery what I did with the rest of it! At any rate, the cassette part still worked, and it was snapped right up on Freecycle. I’m kind of surprised, since we have gotten rid of all our cassette tapes quite a while ago, but glad that someone can use it.
Picked up: June 27, 2009.

In cleaning out our attic, we found an old suitcase which belonged to my mother. She got it when she went to college in the 1940s…it is really heavy . I’ve seen these suitcases used as decorations in restaurants, etc.
At any rate, someone else here decided they could use it, so I am glad it found a new home.
I just offered a small black Nine West brand handbag.
This time, I wrote a funny ad, explaining that the bag was just big enough for a mobile phone, a coin purse, a lipstick and a night on the town! (phone, coin purse, lipstick and fun not included!)
We’ll see who wants it momentarily, I’m sure!
