run a coffee shop

Like so many of you the thought of running a coffee shop would be a dream come true. I have an option point in 2 years giving me the opportunity to make a career change and guess what I’m gonna do…...oh did I mention that the location needs to be Cyprus. Any others out there attempted it in Cyprus!

If you love coffee/food, love people, love to serve, and don’t mind working hard, then running a coffee shop could be for you! This is very much a people-person field and you must be passionate about folks…from all walks of life! I manage a bona-fide coffee bar in my very progressive church, run FOH for my friend’s int’l cuisine restaurant, and am in the beginning stages of starting up my own breakfast cafe. Everything about Hospitality I adore and love! You have to! The good and the bad…it is all worth it! My main goal is to always make the customer feel as if I had waited all day for them and now I want to give them the best slice of 7up poundcake or an amazing espresso with perfect crema. When your customers start asking you “when are you going to open up your own restaurant,” it’s encouraging to know that my passion for top notched customer service is evident to the very people I serve! So with that, stir your vision, do your research, find some mentors, get your ducks in a row and jump in! I mean, if you are going to work hard anyway, why not work hard for yourself!

Años que llevamos planeando esto con mi mama. Cada vez falta menos para mi titulacion y ahi de todas maneras hago realidad mi sueño. Tantas ideas en mi cabeza, una libreta llena de ideas que concretar. Rico cafe, rico ambiente, ricas chocolate chips cookies… es una meta..

My brother and sister and I came up with a really good idea for a coffee shop with a really clever name and a greeting to go with it (for customers when they come in). I wish I could say what the specific idea is but I don’t want anyone to take it.

Vengo transmitiendo esto desde que tenia 14 años, creo.
Siempre me ha dado vueltas en la cabeza eso de tener un coffee shop. Buen café, buenos brownies, buen ambiente, buena música, buen servicio, buenos precios, buen barrio…
En fin, hasta hace 4 años esto sólo parecía un sueño, ahora lo veo más como una meta.
Algún día lo tendré, ya verán.

I absolutley bum Cafe Nero. Cafe Nero is an absoulute pleasure dome of coffee filled enjoyment. I like to visit my local one with a chessboard and a load of cigars and play chess with my friend alex, basking in the ambiance of intelligent conversation and jazz music. I’d would absolutley love to create that experience for my self and tailor it, nurture it and own a fantastic hangout spot run and owned entirely by me. Unfortunately I am no business man. Nor am I a coffee expert. Alas, there is much to be learned.
