I sent my christmas cards out 2 days ago. Whats funny is that no 2 cards went to the same county as after uni my friends spread out across the south. Counties included Devon, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. 5 months ago

Yesterday I bought a Martha Stewart ‘crafts for all occasions’ book and it has a lot of christmas card ideas, so this year I think I might try my hand at making some. I think it adds a nice personal touch and means I can write to my friends. 7 months ago

I used to do this as lot with my boyfriend. We wouldnt tell eachother we were sending things and because of this is was always such a surprise when things came through the post. Once he sent me a small package, inside was an origami box that he had made filled with an origami cat and a tulip, as well as a small chocolate bar, some dried lavender, as I love the smell, and a letter. It was so sweet.

Theres something nice about taking the time to sit down and write a letter by hand, that you just dont get with emails and texts. It feels much more personal, and to me, means a lot. So as my best friends are scattered across the south east, Im going to get back into writing them letters. 10 months ago
