We all love to be loved 5 months ago

It takes real effort to hand write a letter and nothing tells you you are loved like a hand written letter. I think it is time I let my friends and family know i love them. Also if anyone else needs a bit of love, send me your address and I will send you a letter! :)

The End. 8 months ago

I’ve succeeded in doing this by not only sending the occasional Just Because card but also writing notes to my boyfriend. Even though I talk to him every day, there is something personal and caring about having a handwritten letter. I find that some of the friends I would have lost long ago that I have written instead of called, have stayed closer with me than others that I see more regularly. What can I say…the writer in me enjoys to vent.

progress? 8 months ago

I am still no further in writing my thank you notes, though I actually plan to write a few tonight.

Instead, what I have started is a letter exchange with my best friend. She has started dating someone and found it easier to tell me about him through writing letters rather than just call me on the phone. We have been writing faithfully for over a month, and I really love it!

It’s exciting to spend some time writing out whatever is on the top of my head, while also responding to points she made in her letter, then seal it up in an envelope, stick a stamp on it, and send it on its way.

Then, even more exciting is opening the mailbox and finding her letter amongst the bills, junkmail, and useless catalogs.

Yes, I resolve to write my thank you notes with respect to all the joy writing my friend brings me!

oops! 8 months ago

After creating this goal I got to it immediately. I even dug up stationary to scribble meaningful words for all my old friends; but something went awry. Two months later I am finding these letters addressed and stamped under my bed! oh dear.

Snail Mail 9 months ago

One of the most exciting things (in my life at least, lol!) is opening the mail box and seeing a personal, handwritten letter! I love receiving them and I do enjoy writing them, I just get lazy. I’ve fallen in love with and collected numerous stationery sets, but they are stashed away somewhere collecting dust. I’ve made up “to do lists” of correspondence in the past where I assign myself different people to write to, but it’s always fallen apart. For now, I’d like to get out at least one handwritten letter each month. Here we go!

Giving this up 10 months ago

My handwriting is appalling. My parents can’t even read my post it notes. I am going to accept this and move on!

letters are sweet, spice and everything nice. 11 months ago

Why? Because it’s nice. I like receiving mail. I like lyrically and artistically unique cards. I like mail boxes. I like people. It all makes sense.

Wrote a letter to my postcard telling him the things i want to do with him. He told me, it was precious.
