my ipod was stolen while playing basketball 3 years ago

my ipod was jus stolen today like 3 hours ago and i was just hanging around with my friends playing basketball at a community center. I had put my ipod inside my winter hat inside my bag underneath my sweater and my pants. While i was playing basketball someone took my bag and opened it up because when i was leaving my bag wasnt in its original place, and it was also a bit open. Seeing this i knew someone had taken something so i searched through my bag and saw that not only my ipod was gone my cell phone was stolen to. I didnt really care about my cell phone because i could just get another one anytime. But my ipod would be so long to replace and it was also my prize possession, it was like a big part of my life. My ipod had everything on it, all my pictures of myself, my girlfriend, and all of my friends. I just want to find out a way to get my ipod back without filing a police report because i didnt use any visa or master cards.

Danm my life sucks!!! 4 years ago

So I let my friend use my ipod in class and the jackass he is just left the prize possesion of my life out in the open for anyone to take. I could have had a chance to get it back but we had a danm substitute in class and he could do anythhing about it.The worst thing is, is that my parents bought it for me and told me not to bring it too school or something like this would happen. Sure enough it did and if they find out I get in more shit than i am already. I would pretty muchdo anything to get a new ipod befor they find out. Danm I need some help

Visa Sucks 4 years ago

Well i checked with visa to see if i was covered under their purchase security plan, and apparently they refuse to reimburse you on anything stolen from a vehicle, so i’m shit out of luck, and life still sucks.

Life Sucks 4 years ago

Tonight my ipod was stolen right out of my car. It was the only thing stolen besides a skateboard which i could care less about. I bought my ipod with my graduation money, and now some low life just pulled it right out of my life for free. My neighbor told me somthing about almost everything in america being under warranty, so i went searching. I filed a police report and they sent someone out to get prints off my car. When the officer arrived he told me my truck was dirty and that there was nothing he could do, then drove off. Then i found this website and saw the story about mastercard reimbursing ipod owners for stolen ipods. tomorrow i am going to contact them and see if it is the real deal. I dont even know if they are still doing that but its worth a try.

Finally, I have an iPod 4 years ago

I am now in possession of a 40 GB, latest generation iPod.

I had a 20GB third generation iPod. But it had problems while in warranty, and I sent it back to the place where I purchased it (which shall remain nameless) and it arrived and/or was put into the repair queue after the limited warranty period had ended. They then started arguing with me about whether or not they would do the repairs or make the replacement. They were saying that I needed to get it to them and get it into their repair queue before my warranty expired, as if I had any control over a.) the mail (they had me send it back to them via USPS priority service) or b.) how quickly they put it into their queue.

While we argued, they didn’t do anything, because they wouldn’t start work or even look at the unit until I made a deposit which I denied needing to make. We went round and round and round and round and in the meantime, they lost the iPod. Or rather, it grew legs and walked away. (I think someone helped themselves to it.)

After threats and angry letters and so on, they finally capitulated that they did need to make good on the warranty. But before they would go ahead and replace the unit, after all the time involved, they decided that they needed to try to find it. So that was more delay, and now, finally—just before I was going to send them a registered letter giving them ten days to make good or face a small claims court action, there it is. Bigger and better as an “apology” for what they did.

It feels slightly anticlimactic, frankly. I would’ve enjoyed going to court, then writing about it when I won.
