My library actually helps me do this…I work on the third floor of an academic library, and as of last month, I always take the stairs. It’s really helped!

According to my Polar heart rate monitor, my fitness level has increased from moderate to good. Yay me!

Good going, running on schedule! Got my bullworker knockoff, too, so I am now in training as a beginner runner and resistence worker-outer, awww yeah.
Also, although I detest it, I did Pilates today. There’s an upcoming event where I have to show my tummy to the universe, so might as well put in a couple of weeks of Pilates.

I’m back in the running game, I’m just being really conservative about it. Go me.

... if not as a woman, seeing as how I went to the Michigan Library Association annual meeting and attended also various other workshops of late.

Running store experts said my feet are not weird as far as pronation and that I picked the right shoe for me, pretty much. They said it has medium motion control, and I might want to go for more later but it’s not necessary right now.
They also told me to lay off running for a week or two until the knee feels totally normal, and then start all over. Dangit.

The swelling went down in my knee so I ran again today, but cut my mileage in half, and did walk intervals.
It swelled up again. Not as badly. But I wish I knew whether this was due to overpronation or just overreaching.
Tomorrow maybe I’ll go to the running store and see if they think I need orthotics or what.
I’m so frustrated.
I’m working out 3 times a week now, so I must be fitter. Some day the weight loss will come. Some day…...
