be great at my profession

knocked on my door last month, and i’m going to run with it. i have the chance to be ahead of the game this time around, so i am starting early. it’s the next step in my career, a new city, a fresh start. it’s no joke now; time to grow up. time for me to shine…

This week wrapped the first week of filming the new project I’m working on. My supervisor is so difficult for me to work with. It feels like she is critisizing everything I do in my part of the job, and I feel like she’s not focusing on what is important in her job to make everyone else’s jobs run smoother. I love what I do, and want to focus on being really good at it, but when I feel beaten down like I do, it takes my focus away from doing a good job.

The shoot is only 6 weeks, and we have about two weeks off for Christmas, so maybe I can make it through this without having an embarrasing situation at work.

The actress I was working with on my last job sent me flowers. It was such a nice surprise, and I think that means I’m doing (or did) a good job.

I start work on the next project in a couple of weeks…I hope that thing go as well this next time as they did this last time!

Tonight wrapprd the first week of shooting on the film I am currently working on. I’m one of two key costumers on this project. It took a ciuple of days to establish a trusting rapport with the lead actress that I am working with, but today was near perfect. The other actor iscool, and my goal for next week is to have him wrapped around my finger. I just have to decide which finger.

I think this film will be a great learning expericence because there are two keys, so it takes some of the work load off, and I can really focus on continuity and my set notes and all of the other things that I really like to focus on. I would really love to be a “star request” costumer, and work with one actor regularly. This job almost feels like that.

i see i still have a long way to greatness… at least i know now what some of my flaws are so i can try and work on them!

I just got a call about my next job today…I hope that I get to work on this project. It will be another chance to grow and learn and become great at my profession.
