Come to terms with the second season finale of Veronica Mars so I can enjoy the third season and not resent it.

I owe this to my sister who really enjoyed the series over the summer. If it wasn’t for her, I probably wouldn’t have watched any episodes over the break. I’ve been thinking about the season 2 finale, and I’m just picking and choosing what I want to believe.

Spoilers, highlight to read—> The general thing about Beaver makes more sense, I just pretend he didn’t go crazy on top of the roof. See Beaver planning the bus crash still is ridiculous, but looking back on the season, there’s continuity suggesting the result. But Beaver raping Veronica? Never happened… It. Never. Happened.

I had been pretty down on everything Veronica Mars, even Veronica/Logan. I was really surprised by how giddy I got during “Look Who’s Stalking” about Veronica/Logan. Actually I wasn’t giddy so much as I was teary. God what a great episode, and I know the first one next week was great too…

But next Tuesday will be the reairing of the worst episode for me. I’ll actually have to keep myself from flipping to UPN. So I guess watching the better episodes reminded me that the show is great…Well I knew that, but it reminded me there was more to the series than “Not Pictured.”

Ok I figure I’ll just make this entire post in white, so you have to highlight in order to read, it’s a massive season 2 rant.

HIGHLIGHT TO READ—> What the hell happened to Beaver? I mean, I was actually ready to throw my TV out the window by the end of the season finale. I mean, since when was Beaver a sociopath? Um…WTF. I repeat…WTF. Don’t even get me started on Beaver raping Veronica…Just don’t…and the whole Chlamydia thing makes no sense, seeing as in A Trip to the Dentist showed two flashbacks in which Beaver was given a condom. But this is besides the point. This has ruined the show for me. This has ruined the entire second season, especially the later episodes, which were quite good. Now when I see them, I just imagine how much it gets fucked up in the end.

I think what bothers me the most is that every other fan just loves the episode. It makes me sick just thinking about it. Even though the whole bus storyline was wrapped up, I can’t imagine it never being mentioned again. That is why I am not looking forward to the third season. I mean, I’m so distraught about what happened that I’m actually considering never watching again. Seeing as this show defined my TV experience for two years, that’s a heavy statement. I’m so confused about who I am with relation to TV shows…Thanks Rob Thomas you asshole. <—
