I had my hair extensions put in 5 days ago. They cost me £33 and £30 to get them put in, plus £3 for the glue.
My hairdresser advised me to just wash the top layer of my own hair for a while as the hair extensions will last longer that way. When i do have to wash the hair extensions, same as before i have to wash my own hair but let the water/shampoo/conditioner run through the extensions when i feel that they need a wash.

I wanted to do the sew in ones, but I cant see spending that much on anything right now. So I bit the bullet and bought the ones that clip in. They were around $55.
When I first put them in I hated them. They were just too long. My hair just dusts my shoulders, and the extensions were down to the middle of my back. So I cut the first piece. And then I regretted it, so of course I cut the remaining ones. Im glad that I did. My head is way to small though to use all of them. I had three pieces left over, which I guess means that they will last longer. But there is a wave to my hair, so they still looked weird, so I straightened my hair and then curled the extensions and then wore them around the house for an hour. I cant believe how fast I got used to them.
I really like them. I cant believe I waited this long to try them and I am so so envious now of people that have hair this thick and long.

I wore clip-ins on stage once and I loved having very long hair. I’d like to get extensions for my next birthday (not until next July). But if I save up and get the full-on weave, will the extensions damage my hair?
I’ve done it, looks nice but your hair gets extremely damaged!

JORJIA I have no thoughts so i can see, have no fear so i can remember myself
oh extensions extensions extensions…
Clip ins- done that. they looks skanky and fake and if you wear them out in the morning they look liek there is a birdsnest in your head
snap in pernaments – good, resonably cheap, but wear away fast, hurt your head when you sleep and can see them when you tie your hair up
So im getting microfibre remy ones from paris texas cost me about $1500 and will hopefully have them by my birthday, its taken me 6 months to get my hair to the colour and condition i want it so hopefully it will all pay off.
Ive worn clip-in extensions for years,
there okay, but they can be a pain, you have to get new ones every six months or so as they become matted and grubby and nasty, as mine are at the moment. They fall out easily, and i’d just prefer having glue in ones.
Im currently saving for glue in extensions, and i want my hair dying/highlighting at the same time.
Cant wait.
I got a full-on weave and it was totally worth it. It looked great and lasted for quite a while. However don’t leave it in for too long because it just becomes all matted and horrible.
Oh and fork out the money for decent, expensive hair – so worth it. The first time I did and it lasted for 3 months. However the second time I bought cheap hair and I gave up after 3 weeks.
Plus they’re great for hair growth. Mine was not even half-way down my neck and now it’s past my shoulders. Normally my hair doesn’t even grow.
