I need to find, by next May (as that’s when I’m being thrown out of my current flat), a nice studio flat in the brighton area for me and my partner. But we have limited money! and Brighton is an expensive place!!!!! I think i need to start saving…
I’ve found a nice house in Mexico City, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 floors. It will be a nice place to live and to open a little office.
i will be poor for a month while i make all the payments, but i’m so happy and exited!
I’m making also plans for renting 1 bedroom to someone :D
We got a roof over our heads where I can have the dog. Good enough for me!
Yes the gods did smile!!!!!
We have found a house, and a perfect house for us at that, that will let us have the dog, decent sized rooms and is stellar location for both of our workplaces.
Needless to say we are both dirt poor now after giving the agent all our money and have no furniture to speak of. But hey, that’s just logistics really!
Is there any such thing? Is there a patron saint of housing. Seriously, could this get any harder? It seems the dog is the biggest spanner in the works, when you set aside an apparent housing shortage in Auckland city, and the abundant supply of landlords charging you up the arse for a broom closet.
Please give us a break.
do I have to live in a shoebox? Every ‘two bedroom home’ proves to be one bedroom and a doggie box, or has gypsies roaming around the front, or costs millions of dollars a week or my favourite, has a garden that I got my car stuck in.
Lucky for my overriding optimism button that tells me the perfect house is out there and waiting for us!!
Week three of the flat hunt and it’s looking grim. Have taken to stopping at the pub after each expedition, to drown our sorrows.
it is not only expensing to rent something (vs. buy in Paris is like stupid) but it is also very very hard since the renter is asking every paper he can from birth certificate to parental warranty of the rent ETCC.
The law is anyway very protective for the people who rent an appart.
