Worth doing!
My family hosted an exchange student from Egypt and we visited him when I was in 6th grade. We stayed with his family for a week in downtown Cairo…I can’t wait to go back.
I have always felt strongly about doing this. It started when I was very little and I hope I get to do this sometime soon.
Worth doing!

Worth doing!
We took the children (aged 3 & 5) at the time, on an excursion to Coba to see the Pyramids. My 5 yr old and I climbed to the top and down again and then my husband did it on his own. My 3 yr old would have had a hard time with it.
Amazing and worth it!

The pyramids at Giza were beautiful yet they were a little too close to Cairo and a bit formidable to truly experience by climbing. The pyramids in Mexico and Guatemala are more accessible and usually more remote in the jungle, and it’s an amazing romantic rich experience much better than the pictures as you climb the ruins at Tikal, Chichen Itza, or Palenque. In contrast, the experience of the great pyramids in Egypt were less amazing than the pictures despite being much harder to get to for us Americans. But the pyramids in Egypt are still well worth it, if I go again, I’ll try harder to find a way to climb them (if that is allowed any more) or get a tour inside.
Worth doing!
Climbed in a pyramid. Sat on a pyramid and had my photo taken.
Can’t describe the sensation of finally seeing something that you have heard about and imagined for as long as you remember.
Got to do it! Egypt is a fantastic place.
