I was in Scotland last year for a short, last-minute break that wasn’t very planned at all. I had an amazing time, and loved the wandering around I was able to do in such a gorgeous place. What I really wanted to do there was hike some long-distance trails, but I was highly disorganized about the entire trip and just didn’t get my act together to make it happen. This bugged me to no end. Visiting over a busy holiday weekend definitely did not help matters out, either! I did get some short hill walks in, so I can definitely say it’s worth it. Scotland is an insanely beautiful place, one where you turn the corner and find…yet another beautiful place.
So, someday….it may be years and years from now…I will go to Scotland again and actually plan things a bit better. I will have proper gear, avoid major holidays, and do a wee bit of research before I do. 6 years ago
