Pick up a piece of garbage every day

Today as I was picking garbage near a flower shop the guy who owned it ran out and asked me what I was doing. I explained it to him and he said “well come in and I’ll give you a rose. So I went in and he game me the most beautiful yellow rose.

I actually mace my environmental science project out of this goal and my prof thought it was a brilliant idea. So even though I can do this every day as a goal it will also be benefitting me in. my project is to walk around 5 blocks every day and see how much garbage I can collect. I will be studying how much garbage I get, what kinds of garbage I get, and what is the most popular types of garbage, and the effects it has on the environment. It’s perfect it will help me attain my goal for a 2.5 gpa, I will pick up garbage every day and I will be going for my daily walk which is also a goal. it’s so brilliant I never thought I would ever think of something like that.

I’m going to start carrying gloves in my purse so I can pick stuff up and not feel grossed out after.

I’ve done this in the city and at the lake. Although it wasn’t much it made the steet look just a tiny bit cleaner and it made the lake look just a tiny bit less messier.

I have to start this again.

I picked up a whole bunch of garbage today. It was raining and the garbage was all wet. But it made my little town that much cleaner.

Today I decided to go for a walk. I packed a grocery bag and I said I would keep walking until I filled it with garbage. It wasn’t long before my bag was overflowing. So I packed it down and kept going until my bag could hold no more. I didn’t even go a quarter of a kilometre. I didn’t realise there was that much garbage in a relatively clean ditch!

I do it almost every day and I want to keep doing it.
