I have made no progress on this. I am planning to take the test some time after Greenbuild in November. The original plan was to start studying before the convention and then take the test when I get back. That was the strategy so that I could be able to absorb the USGBC way of thinking about things. Now I am registering to go to the convention and I have barely cracked open the reference guides. Ugh. I need to get moving on this.
How to pass the LEED AP exam
How I did it: I read through the candidate handbook, and the short version of the credits, then studied about an hour a day for a month. Took 5 online practice exams. I passed before v3 so I can't help you out with the current exam versions.
Resources: www.intheleed.com was a great resource.
