Did the K Bridge (tandem), and the ledge over Queenstown itself in the dark – both were awesome. Was supposed to do the Nevis High Wire, but it was too windy! You get a special deal if you book all three at once – works out much cheaper. The ledge over Queenstown is slightly different in that you are strapped by your waist, so you don’t get the headache afterwards and can do somersaults if you want!

Motherfucker lives in NZ for 10 years and doesn’t get to go bungee jumping!.. mostly because I was young, but I’m heading back down to uni so there will be no excuse!
got my head dunked in Queenstown. A bit expensive but what the hell – how many times to you get to jump off a bridge and survive in your life?
I jumped in 2004 at the Kawarua Bridge in Queenstown because it was my first jump and I wanted to jump at the original site. I thought it was awesome, of course next time I will do the Nevis :) But for a first jump, it’s totally awesome!
I went bungee jumping off the Kawarau Bridge just outside of Queenstown, N.Z. 2 years ago, and I just remember thinking, wow, I just blew 140 dollars on that?! It was okay, but it’s over so fast that I don’t think you have time to really appreciate it.
If you plan to go, I would recommend doing the Nevis Highwire jump instead. It’s much higher, so maybe that would give you a real big rush.
If you really want to do it, though, go for it.
To bungee jump in the place where it was invented seems appropriate. Terrifying but cool.
I can’t remember exactly how high it was but it was a realively small one….scared the HELL out of me though!!!
I didn’t think anything could top skydiving for an adrenaline rush, but I sure was wrong. I did The Nevis near Queenstown, N.Z. about 6 years ago, and it was awesome! I think my heart stopped for the first 5 or 6 seconds. We had an awesome time, and the people from AJ Hackett Bungy were awesome! Check it out here: http://www.ajhackett.com/index.php?page=nevis
