Learn to play guitar WELL

trying to sign up for some once a week lessons though having some communication problems. also having some doubts about whether this is something I should be spending time on right now—there are so many things I need to be doing. If the communication doesn’t work out, I won’t be troubled – I’ll just keep learning on my own and enjoying the freedom of not having to take the time to go to and from lessons.

I’ve been tinkering with guitars for about 40 years and although I can pull a tune I’ve never been able to play properly.

I’ve been practicing a lot recently as I’ve had more free time on my hands, and I have a couple of gigs coming up where I’ll be singing and accompanying myself. Bar chords nearly mastered now – I’d say they sound perfect about 80% of the time but I’m still working on building up my strength in my left hand. I’m really pleased with the progress I’m making though, and I’m looking forward to buying a better guitar in a year or so’s time.

After 4 months of persistant practice, I have finally developed the strength needed in my fingers to crack these tricky barre chords!! Suddenly a whole new world of keys has opened up to me!

I first started playing when I was 10, but gave up cos I could never get the hang of F – now I can play it easily so I’m very pleased!

I also printed off a whole new load of tabs the other day, so I’m looking forward to learning some new songs to build up my set. And I’m going to ask for a capo for xmas from my boyfriend.

so i started getting into practicing again. and was planning to continue hopefully every night to progress. iw as doing well until the other day i was opening my razor scooter and my finger got caught between where the bottom and handle meets. it got crushed and my nail is split. it looks gruesome. this has put a hinderance on my playing as i can’t put too much pressure on it. when ever it heals well enough. i plan to be back at it…

i want to play good!! As simple as that!!
