I tested for my blue belt and I find out in a week if I made it. Wait I might be going to wyoming before that.

How I did it: I started when I was eleven and received my black belt at fourteen. I quit shortly after for a break ( I use to be there anywhere from 10-15 hours a week). Now that I am almost 20, I would like to go back and get my second degree belt. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I started doing martial arts at the age of 22. After 5 years, I earned my black belt. Now, I've quit Taekwondo, but I do Krav Maga, Kali Sikaran and some Hapkido on a semi-regular basis. Read how I did it…

Even if it takes me the rest of my life, I think this is lovely goal! Now, since I’ve only done a bit of judo (looooooved judo), and that was 10 years ago, I need to take the first step now to get back into things!
Taijiquan with the right teacher is an ultimate challenge of my mind and body and I’m so psyched to be working on it. I’m taking my time and I’ll get to that belt someday. Along the way - what an experience learning subtlties - yesterday I learned (again, in a new scenario) that I barely had to move in order to do something I thought needed a lot of external effort. Internal arts. Deep stuff. :)
Rawr. I got my blue belt today! =)
Two more ‘til black.
Well.. Three, technically- But who likes technicalities, anyway?
So yeah. I’m excited.
Annnd. I think i might still have a couple of Chuck Norris’s skin cells on my hand! What an honor!
This was one of the best goals I’ve achieved in my life.
I’ve been away from the arts for awhile but would love to start from the beginning with a new style and work my way up again. It’s hard work and very rewarding.
I set myself this goal a couple of years ago and I practiced really hard and when graduation date came I was really prepared and I felt really good. Black belt was a major achievement for me.
I have tried GKR karate which I enjoyed but don’t think it’s the martial art for me. I’ve always wanted to learn sword fighting. I will keep looking around and find something else to try out.
