I’ve applied for my three scholarships!
I have to do the exams for them, they are three hours long each and are on the topics I have studied in class this year.
Classical Studies is on November 14th
English is on November 19th
History is on November 28th
If I pass one Schol, I get $500.
If I pass two, I get $1000.
If I pass all three, I get $2000 a year for all three years.
If I come top of the country in any one Schol, I get $2000 a year for all three years.
If I get two Outstanding Schols and one regular Schol, I get $2000 a year for all three years.
I really, really want the money! So I am from now on pouring all my efforts in to English, Classics and History. If I can get all three, then my worries are more or less taken care of.
Pray for me,
K

I thought for sure it was too late to get any scholarships but even though the deadline for this one was a month earlier I got the hook up! And I actually won it! My tuition is half-off! Finally, my grades paid off and I was starting to get jaded about all my hard work not paying off.

I worked really hard in my final year of high school, got really good grades and when I entered University to do my Bachelor’s, because of my high marks I was offered a scholarship worth $3000 NZD and am applying for another next month :)

It seems really hard. I mean I have a bright future ahead of me but high school is turning out to be harder than i thought. I mean the pressure is on but the time to think about the future is now. It’s really important and i owe my parents that. Later :]

Won a few medals (2 gold, 1 silver) in the All City Art Exhibition, and was 1 out of 5 that won a scholarship to attend a college credit art class in the School of the Art Institute of Chicago this year, as a junior in high school for free (it costs a little over $1000 to attend a single class). So I’m gonna be going to that this summer. It’s pretty awesome to know that I got one when I didn’t even apply for one lol Out of over 300 kids who entered, I was 1 out of 5.
Now to apply for real scholarships lol

hello all, i live in what society would call the “ghetto”. yes, there are durg dealers and gangs here. I cant imagine myself living like this as an adult, and i really want to leave here and become a doctor. that has been my main goal in life; to be a doctor. around here people would laugh if i say i want to go to college; i just keep to myself and my studies. most of the females here are strippers, or have pimps, etc and i do NOT want to end up like that. i pray to god everyday that i get a college scholarship.

Actually, the scholarship I got wasn’t for college or anything. I went to a dance convention a few weeks ago, and at the end there was an audition where they’d give out some different scholarships. I auditioned just for the experience but never expected to actually win anything. Flash forward to the “showcase” type thing a few hours later. They called my number, and I ended up winning a hip hop scholarship! It’s worth about $2500 in tuition and it’s kinda complicated to explain, but it was probably one of the best days this year.
It felt great, and I deff needed the confidence boost.
