Did this a week ago… didn’t hurt to get it pierced but hurts afterwards when cleaning or if you bump it or lay on it. I’ve had no problems so far.

How I did it: This year for my birthday I got my first official piercing. My mom took me to the piercing parlor after school one day and suprised me with a cartalige piercing. The first 15 minutes of waiting whil the piercer autoclaved the needle and jewalry was the worst. Then when I went into the room and the guy cleaned my ear and the without a warning shouved the needle through my ear and put the jewalry through. It did not hurt as much as I had expected, though I was in shock. And It was pretty painless the rest of the evening.
Lessons & tips:
- Keep it clean and DON'T stop turning the jewalry. (mine got stuck and it really hurt)
- Do salt soaks. This helps heal it faster. (1 cup water 1/4 tsp SEA Salt, NOT table salt)
- Do not sleep on thats side 4 a while.... believe me it hurts.
- Watch out for dodge balls in gym.
- Get a bar bell, or labret instead of a CBR (captive bead ring) it will be more coumfertable for sleeping.

I reallyreallyreally want mine done. I’ve only had 5 other piercings. Four were on my earlobes :\ I don’t think I’ll be able to handle the pain and soreness of the afterwards-effect though.. Aghakdlafjkdlfjald.
