littlemausieCSS make my brain hurt.

And I have other things I need to do. It was an interesting experiment, and I’ll definitely pick things up here and there, but for now this is not on My List Of Things To Do. 6 years ago

CSS is not only a cursor or link style, you can make an entire website using CSS and only a few block elements in HTML. This is so good, man, I could only write CSS. :D Love it! 6 years ago

littlemausieThe First Steps Are The Important Ones, Even If They Are Small.

I actually made my first layout in what’s probably years the other night—very very simple, doesn’t use CSS at all, and it’s not even originally coded by me (it was inspired by a premade layout I’d downloaded), but at least it is a start.

I definitely need to get my hands on a copy of Visibone’s Browser Book, since I’m a very visual learner and my biggest block with learning CSS is that I can’t see what it does in my head. HTML, sure, no problem, but CSS? Not so much. 8 years ago

DarlaAs a Designer, Unique, Lightweight designs are the Goal

I would LOVE to be able to just “spit out” new CSS designs as fast as I could previously do HTML layouts.

Previously, I used .. or should I say “misused” CSS. I thought of it as “just for pretties”. Now … it’s about compatibility and I’m having a blast (or obsessive compulsive disorder) digging into it.

I just finished a 3 column pure CSS design which matches my original site design layout …. but “Look Ma, No Tables!” LOL

Compare the original (table design) NewbieHangout Table Design to the new Tableless CSS Design

I’d LOVE to hear wht you’re doing/have done with CSS.

littlemausieI'm tired of looking at other people's layouts...

and liking everything except the way the cursor changes (or doesn’t), or the colors used, or the link style. I also hate not being able to find layouts featuring things/characters/color schemes that I like (often these are things/characters/color schemes that no one else does).

And you know what they say: if you think you can do better, prove it. 8 years ago
