visit bhutan

I just finished watching the excellent program Himalaya with Michael Palin and really got intrigued by his visit to Bhutan.
It seems still a very pure country with beautiful nature, not too much wasted by outside influences.

The above may actually the reason I won’t go. Just to keep it like that. They have agreat policy though that you have to spend at least 200 US a day which keeps the number of visitors down.

But still, I really would love to see it for myself.

I have been fascinated by Bhutan for years, a country that is entirely ruled by it’s Buddhist beliefs and where policy is determined by a national Happiness index, where a way of life in tune with spirituality and fulfillment is protected.It also looks stunning!.I’m intending to go hiking, watch festivals-wearing national dress and see some of the stunning handicrafts in the region -and hopefully see tigers or cloud leopards.My darling fiancé has promised to take me as a Xmas present this year, so I maybe going sooner than I thought!
