I have visited Norway a couple of times, and I have totally fallen in love with the place. It is phenomenally expensive, but the people are great! I have friends in Oslo, and I am working on friends in Bergen who are major players in the Black Metal Scene, something I have loved for years.
I am a womens wear Designer Looking to be good share my sunshine an dmake me and everyone around me happy.
It’s really nice here but i don’t want to stay here for ever not a huge fan of the cold winters
Which is kinda cool. It’s a great place to live. Not planning to stay all my life, though.
We left Portland July 22, and we finally made it to Oslo this week!
First we rented a car and drove from Portland to Utah, and then to Illinois (visiting grandparents). A toddler, an infant and two cats. I don’t know who was crazier: my husband for having the idea, or me for agreeing. But, it was fun in a way. If there is one thing the US is good for, it’s roadtrips.
We spent a few weeks in the midwest getting ready, and then off we went. 24 hours (1 plane, a five hour layover, 2 more planes, a train ride and a taxi)! My toddler loved the “little tiny baby” commuter planes driving around the runways.
And here we are. We applied for residency permits today, it’s for real!
A good place for children; no actions against them by Amnesty International (unlike some countries… eh-hem); climate like back home (Alaska). Doesn’t sound too bad.
