...the phase 2 repairs. Beautifying the bathroom a bit, new window, installing a new attic ladder and insulating around the attic door, etc. Can’t afford a new fence right now, though :(

...is complete! Attic/crawlspace are insulated, we have an attic fan, old disgusting utility sink is out, and the giant man-eating shrubs are gone from our yard.

Way less expensive than I thought – much better than the price the rude guy from Home Depot gave me. It helps to use laborers right from your own blue-collar neighborhood!

...from a guy I trust (he’s a general contractor and also the head of our local community association). I should have an estimate sometime this week for a CRAPload of work I need done around the house. I’m hoping it comes to $15,000 or less. YIKES!

But now the roof is leaking, so I’m going to have to bump the repairs up in priority.
I’ve had roofers patch it twice, but I definitely need a new one. It has to be done before other repairs, like new doors and landscaping, can be arranged.
I need to make some house repairs and have no skills whatsoever so ok, I need to make a list and contact my carpenter and get it going. I’ve been saying this for a year and have yet to do it.
