play my guitar more

is sooo nice… It’s made of Koa, which gives it a nice mellow sound & makes the bass notes richer than most classicals… The shallower body and narrow neck also give it a particular feel that most classicals don’t have… I’ve played so much my fingers are sore…

I played my guitar almost all summer but I’ve absolutely nothing to show for it… in fact…. I think I’m worse.. :( it’s weird. Or maybe my ears are better tuned for music but I’ve no clue… I think I feel so bad at guitar now that I’m thinking of quitting…

I’m playing a lot more these days. It’s good medicine for the soul, and it helps me connect with people.

This is going extremely well…
All I’ve done, really, when I’m at home is eat, sleep and play guitar… It’s the “May West!” :D

I’ve started playing via live stream on SecondLife, using NiceCast to send the stream and GarageBand as a mixer. The shows have been well received, which strikes me as odd. It’s hard to play to a “live” audience that actually hears you 2 minutes later, but I’m getting the hang of it.

I have this lovely idea for an arrangement for the song Mr Brightside by The Killers.
It’s all played on Acoustic Guitar, it’s “quieter” than the original but I think it’s more powerful as a song! I have to work out little bits now before it’s complete but the idea is cemented in my head and it’s a brilliant excuse to pick up the guitar EVEN MORE than I already do!

I’m very happy to say that a day doesn’t go by that i don’t play guitar! and i’m lovin’ it!!

well i took guitar lessons probably two years ago (wow has it been that long?!?) and i hardly play now, i think i’ve lost most of what my instructor taught me. i always get the urge to play, but then when i actually sit down to play..it’s like my fingers and brain just don’t get along. practice makes perfect i guess. hell, i don’t even want to be perfect, i just want to be sufficient!

I’ve decided to go back for lessons with a friend of mine to a guy we think is really good. hopefully he’ll have a few tricks to show us… maybe a bit of theory behind guitar ‘coz i know nothing in that respect and I’ve set up jamming evenings with another one of my friends. we’re going to try and meet up for a jam every second week of more than that if we can.
his style is completely different than mine so i can learn loads off him by just watchin’ \o/ yay for being active in my goals!

The poor thing just sits there and gathers dust, same with the Bass.
