Fall in love with someone worth falling in love with

This is an ongoing list, but here:

1. I will sing in the car, and if he’s in the car with me, all the better.
2. I will be able to write, and imagine that he is reading and enjoying my work.
3. We will dance and laugh and be goofy together, NOT I will dance and he will laugh at me being goofy.

i.e., myself.

not so very long ago, i was scared that regret would haunt my old age—regret that i hadn’t gotten to spend this time (now) with the person i loved because of persistent and willful misunderstandings. things came to a head; do i want when i’m old to regret having loved someone who hadn’t loved me?

no regrets.
