I’m gonna mark this as done, because I’ve been using my little framework for the last week or so and it’s been a blast. My Zope apps are easier-to-understand, better organized, and are getting done quicker.

I recently started using Ruby on Rails for my for-the-fun-of-it projects and the enlightenment I’ve acquired has caused a bit of trouble in my day-to-day Zope-for-a-living work.
In order to make my Zope development a bit more fun and manageable, I’m working on a set of folders, scripts, and templates to be used when I’m creating an application inside Zope/Plone – a framework if you will. I’m mimicking Rails’ MVC style the best I can.
It’s experimental, but it’s showing some potential. Best of all, it’s making Zope a bit more fun. Thanks Rails!
