Serious Progress! 2 years ago

I have been working on my scrapbooks almost weekly now, so I feel I have made it a priority. I have had several scrapbooking “dates” with friends, signed up for events at local scrapbook stores, and am even saving for a retreat later this year!
I feel like I am doing great. I think my next goal in this area is to create a permanent place at home to work on my books.

"I'd Rather Be Scrapping"... 2 years ago

...that’s what my bumper sticker should say! I think I have caught the bug again. I have been working on my 2003 album this week, and I think I will adopt some of Creative Memories “Power Layout” ideas because I am so far behind. I will save some of my more creative pages for the special albums, and for when I get caught up more! Right now it feels more important to get the pictures into the book. I can get a whole bunch of pages “done” and then work on journaling and embellishments when I get together with friends.

I'm Ready to Begin! 3 years ago

OK. I have decided to not work on my scrapbooks at home for now, until I get a better work area and have finished my degree. Instead, I have set up a time with a friend to meet and scrapbook, and I have talked to two or three other ladies about meeting to scrap in an effort to have more “accountability partners”! LOL! I have purchased some new supplies, and I have organized my photos. I cleaned up the supplies I had stored in the basement, and I am going to pick up exactly where I left off in my album. It’s been over a year, but I am finally ready to start scraping again! I can’t wait until our “date” on Saturday! I hope we can meet at least twice a month to work on our albums together.

I miss it so much!! 3 years ago

First, I gave it up temporally for school so I could stay focused. Now, I hate getting everything out because I don’t have a place to keep my stuff out and I have to put it all away again…!! I am sooo behind. And I have this gnawing feeling that the more time passes between the events and the scrap-booking the more I am forgetting…
I have several books started and none finished, although two are almost finished. Let’s see: I have a book about our trip to Mackinac Island where my husband proposed, our wedding book, two baby books, and family album one of the year 2003. I still have all our honeymoon pictures to do, and I started a book about my senior year in high school too… Agh!! Not to mention all the family pictures there are to do since 2003!
It would be such a stress reliever if I could just set aside some time each week and maybe go to a local center and work for a few hours. I must plan to do that. Baby steps. Yes. Because if I wait until I have a place to work and organize my stuff at home my kids will be in high school!

I love scrapbooking! I wish my college classes wern’t so intense or I would be doing more scrapbooking. But I think taking a break for the crafts for a bit makes ot more enjoyable when i do get to sit down and do them. I get the chance to really think about my next pages and try to find ways to use what I have on hand. Yay for scrapbooking!!

I REALLY need to organize my photos, organize my office/scrapbook room (a work in progress right now!), and spend some quality time really doing what I want to do. I’ve discovered this creative side of me and I want to do more! I’d also like to create at least one page that is so good, in my own opinion, that I’d submit it to a magazine! (I’ve seen things not as good as some of mine already published, so this is a reachable goal!!!)

Too much stuff, too little time 4 years ago

I’ve spent so much money on my scrapbooks but yet to have more than 10 pages in any of them! I need to manage my time better. Hey there’s a new goal!
