paint a picture

I just moved into my new apartment and started buying some art for the walls and I’ve really enjoying looking for the stuff. Now I want to paint some stuff of my own. I haven’t done anything like this since school so can only imagine its gonna be quite difficult as I don’t know the first thing about paints. All I know is that I want to use canvas and I want to create a series that I can put up next to or near each other. At the moment, most of my ideas are forming around simple line drawings in a cartoon style or of some abstract lines. It gives me something to think about at night while a lay awake in bed suffering from jet lag.

it was really ugly. I really should never be allowed to paint again but I loved it.

I did a beginners painting workshop and actually managed to paint a beautiful pear and it looks so real.. people can’t believe I painted it! so Yay!

and loving it… It’s not complete but I never finish a painting – I just stop working on for a while.

Going to try and put something on canvas once a month.

I took my paints, brushes and paper and without planning too much I painted three pictures. The first one is a koi, the second a black bird, the third is a fairy on a mushroom. As I paint I feel my technique is better. I haven’t done any art for years now. I thought about it and did somehting else instead, but I will paint everyday from now on!

it is really good and fun. plus you can do lots of things. and is good.

I’ve painted a couple pictures but they’re just really simple silhouettes with a different coloured background. I really want to try to paint something semi-realistic (starting off in black and white) but I really don’t know how…..

this goal is always worth it.

I’ve only been painting for a few months, but I see my progress with every canvas. There’s nothing more rewarding than being able to express an Idea, or a Feeling, & painting is such a great way to do it.

I have no intentions of ever stopping.
